MANOU RED WINE – GRENACHE AND CARIGNAN BLEND

Wine with great freshness obtained from Grenache Noir and Carignan from vineyards in the north of Montsant. The blend of Grenache and Carignan allows for an excellent balance between the acidity and perfume of Carignan and the sweetness and spicy notes of Grenache. The harvest for red varieties takes place at the end of September and beginning of October. Fermentation with the native yeasts of the grapes of each vineyard takes between four and six weeks until the sugars of the grapes are fully consumed. Aging in its lees for 6 months and in barrels for 3 months allow to achieve an excellent balance.

Deep purple wine with medium violet reflections. The nose dominates above all notes of fruit, black and red acid fruits such as raspberry and cherries. In the background, there are also the spicy notes of Grenache with touches of Mediterranean herbs. Once opened, notes of minerals and licorice appear. Grenache brings subtle and slightly more mature notes of fruits, cherry and plum and Carignan red fruits and flowers. The short ageing in barrels is very well integrated and evolves over time in the glass. Wine with marked personality and with arms wide open to share. A bold and exuberant wine, eager to express and make itself known and above all to be enjoyed. It’s a young wine with a strong aromatic presence and a lot of complexity.
