CARIGNAN

The Carignan grape variety of the Priorat and Montsant regions synthesizes the molecules that give the characteristic freshness and perfume of this wine. This is made possible by the interaction of the vineyards with rosemary and thyme and the native microorganisms that ferment the wine from each wine estate, with slight composition of yeast that give individuality of zone, village and vineyard.

ARGENTERA EL PERFUM AND CARINYENA VINYES VELLES

Like all our vineyards the Carignan grapes are hand-harvested between middle September and early October. All fermentations are without adding sulfites using the variety of native yeast that are present in the skin of the grapes. Fermentation at low temperature with the skins of the grapes allow to extract a myriad of flavors and savors. Carignan old and centenarian vines are descendants from vine trees that survived the phylloxera epidemy at the end of the XIX century.

Argentera Carinyena El Perfum wine has an intense red color with bright violet reflections. The nose is dominated by a light and fresh scent of red fruits. The attack in the mouth is smooth and greedy. Its passage is long and silky marked by the sour freshness of the red fruits. The aftertaste is harmonic and light, but long. Vinyes Veller Carinyena · 1153 shows similar features with a much longer aftertaste and an intense velvet character.
