Elegant and full of character, this old-vine Carignan (centenarian) presents a clear, fresh, and refined nose of red and black berries, ripe cherry notes, dried herbs, subtle floral hints, and a touch of savory smokiness reminiscent of cured meat.
On the palate, it’s juicy and firm, with vibrant acidity that brings structure and freshness. The fruit comes through with clarity, supported by a bright acidic edge, delicate floral nuances, and a subtle background of pepper. Mineral notes of chalk, gentle hints of smoke, dark chocolate, and a touch of mint round out the profile. Still developing, this Carignan shows great potential for aging and evolution.

The Manou is vineyard of the Gritelles Wine Estate in the Cornudella valley at an altitude of 650 m. Centenarian vines derived from Carignan vines that resisted phylloxera and with limited production.
