MONTSANT AND GRITELLES
NORTH OF PRIORAT
At Gritelles Winery we explore the uniqueness of the best vineyards of the north of Montsant, in the Priorat region. The Cornudella valley between the Montsant and Gritelles mountains provides an ideal climate condition for growing vine trees that will produce grapes with high acidity and excellent ripening of skins and seeds. The vineyards, at an altitude of 400-700 m above the sea level, express the characteristics of a hot and dry climate with fresh nights. The grapes transfer to the wine the personality and complexity of each vineyard and vintage. The diversity of the soil of the north of Priorat (clay, limestone, slate and pebbles) gives to each vineyard specific features that make each wine different and unique.
